Brief History of
Todd Farm Vineyards
Todd Vineyard began as a means to add variety to the cultivars we were already growing. The previous owners of the land sought to diversify their wine portfolio and were looking for a white wine blend. The slight northern slope at Todd proved perfect for producing Chardonnay with a bit of extra acidity. It is an early-ripening and highly productive variety on the Woodburn and Amity soils.
The Chardonnay was planted on approximately 20-acre blocks, beginning in 2009, with the final acreage planted in 2023, totaling 60 acres.
The lone southern exposure was planted with Pinot Noir using high-quality, in-demand clones 777 and 667.
